I started dancing professionally at the age of 19. As time went on, I started looking for something to help me cope better with the physical and emotional strain.
My very first yoga class 12 years ago changed my life forever. I experienced a sense of deep contentment and peace that I had never known before. It was as if I had taken my first breath of fresh air and could finally relax into my life.
I wanted to feel like that all the time! I started practicing everyday and my life began to transform. My health, my emotions, my view of the world, my view of myself - everything kept getting better!
As my life continued to expand and unfold in wonderous ways, I found my vocation: I love teaching yoga. How magical that the practice of physical postures, combined with awareness of the breath, can have such a profound effect on us! Being able to share some of that experience with my students is a blessing and an honour.
After practising and studying many well-known styles of yoga for several years, I discovered Anusara Yoga®, a style of hatha yoga that incorporates all the aspects of yoga that I love. I am now a registered Anusara-inspired Yoga Teacher™.
Yoga continues to tranform my inner and outer world, bringing me strength and joy. My deepest thanks to all my teachers.
