Strength & Grace Yoga with Barbra Noh
10-11 March 2018 | Hosted by NYSY Studios and Bhāvāna Yoga Center in Athens Greece

Barbra is delighted to be invited to teach in Athens for the first time. She views yoga philosophy as a practical tool for daily life and teaches a precise, alignment focused yoga complemented by her joy for movement. Her highest priority is that we develop a sustainable yoga practice that feels good and allows us to delve into the potential of the body safely and intelligently.

An Anusara teacher since 2008, her teaching is enriched by the knowledge of Ayurveda. Barbra believes that physical yoga practice, when adapted to the individual, nurtures us and builds our resources. She calls this approach to practice Strength and Grace Yoga.

Open Classes

Saturday  09:30-11:30

Adventurous Heart

Twists, balancing poses, hand-balancing - these are the asanas that challenge us to remain steady in our focus and firmly connected to our core as we dare to go beyond what seems safe and easy. Carried by our sense of adventure we shed our natural sense of caution to move beyond the confines of our limited perception of what is possible.

Sunday  09:30-11:30

Bamboo Backbends

Cultivate the supple strength of bamboo. Develop ease and strength in both your body and your nervous system with this masterclass focusing on backbends. Barbra will teach you how to take the stress out of deep backbends, develop resilience and even find comfort in the poses we find most intense.

Teachers Intensive: Align. Serve. Grow.

Saturday & Sunday  09:30 – 11:30 and 14:00-18:00

This intensive for teachers is structured around the morning practice. The open class will form the basis for analysis and discussion in the afternoon when the teachers meet with Barbra, when she will discuss the following aspects of teaching:

- sequencing

- integration of themes

- alignment

- advanced poses

- adjustments

She welcomes teachers of all traditions. You will receive a handout that includes a general template for postural alignment designed to provide orientation on how to guide students towards a therapeutic approach to asana.
