THAIVEDIC YOGA

ThaiVedic Yoga: Movement - Healing - Bodywork

Barbra is co-founder of an innovative and intelligent system of yoga and bodywork: ThaiVedic Yoga.

The result of her collaboration with Kimmana Nichols and Sebastian Bruno, ThaiVedic Yoga provides unique education for bodyworkers, yoga teachers and anyone who wishes to learn and teach the art of self-healing.

ThaiVedic Yoga was developed to enhance the therapeutic aspects of yoga by integrating the wisdom of Ayurveda and the healing tradition of Thai bodywork.

The vision of an international school of healing arts is now forming into reality.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the world’s oldest recorded system of healing. Used for more than 5,000 years by

thousands of doctors on millions of patients, it is a proven system of prevention and healing. Its timeless wisdom is now being recognised and spreading like wildfire amongst the alternative medicine industry because there is no other medicine system as complete and applicable for enhancing all forms of health and healing, including yoga.

ThaiVedic Yoga Philosophy

ThaiVedic Yoga embraces a non-dual philosophy of tantra that all of life is imbibed with an energy of oneness that connects everything and everyone. This energy is a goodness without opposite and its auspiciousness continues to guide all of creation. The teachers of ThaiVedic are trained to inspire oneness and awaken you to this universal guidance that is present in your heart and every cell of your body. They inspire a playful acceptance of the many facets of life, and joyfully encourage their students to evolve toward wholesome balance, and the guidance of our supreme oneness nature.

In a class the teachers may use The 5 Element System of Ayurveda to illuminate how this universal guidance feeds through our body’s and can practically guide us both on and off the mat. The 5 element system used in ThaiVedic Yoga enhances our ability to use metaphors in ways that bring a real practicality and applicability to the philosophy of Tantra. It clearly shows how we can properly use this wisdom to enhance our lives as a unified whole that includes mind, body and spirit. These 5 elements give us an understanding of the stepped approach to how creation forms, and so too, a stepped approach to how we as creationary beings manifest our lives. A systematic process to take you from divine guidance to physically purposeful lives.

Bodywork

ThaiVedic Bodywork is a unique opportunity for people across the globe who are interested to help others heal through touch therapies and guidance. It is unique because it is not just another modality to have in your tool belt, but more importantly it is a governing system, a tool belt where all modalities can be understood and used more effectively. The ThaiVedic System can show you the benefits and weaknesses of all healing techniques and on what individuals and conditions these techniques will be most suited.
