Magic Morocco Yoga & Surf Adventure
With its ancient, ever-present spirituality and beautiful nature, Morocco offers all you need for an unforgettable adventure. During this week-long trip we will take you from Agadir's hills and beaches to the Marrakech desert. You will enjoy daily yoga sessions, surfing and deep meditation while exploring this magical country. Allow yourself to be swept away by Morocco's magic, following her flow from southern beaches to her northern desert. This trip offers you a rich combination of yoga and surf, beach and desert, nature and comfort.
We start in Agadir spending 4 nights at the luxurious Atlas Kasbah. Barbra will teach daily yoga classes, Jalal Boumia is our surf instructor. We will be served nourishing and delicious vegetarian meals made from fresh vegetables from the garden. There will be plenty of free time for you to relax on the beach, take a walk in the hills surrounding the Atlas Kasbah, or read a book and lounge by the swimming pool. You may also book a hamam treatment at the Kasbah.
From Agadir we take you across the country to fascinating Marrakech where you will get a taste of Moroccan culture when we visit the famous Djema El Fna square and colorful soukh (market), before we submerge into the silence of the Marrakech desert. Here we will be staying the remaining 3 nights at La Pause, a beautiful retreat centre surrounded by silence and candle-lit by night. At La Pause you will have the opportunity to deepen your practice with two yoga sessions a day and meditation under the star-lit sky.* The retreat is open to everyone. It is not necessary to have practiced Yoga before or have any experience surfing.
The accommodation during the retreat provides both a traditional Moroccan atmosphere and modern-day comfort.
In Agadir we are staying at a price winning ecological, Riad-style resort splendidly located in the hills of Agadir, just a 25 minute drive from the beach. The colorful double rooms en lofts have ensuite bathrooms and are decorated in traditional Berber style. Its many terraces offer you magnificent views of the Atlas hills. In addition to enjoying the large pool and gardens you can book hammam treatments or take long walks in the hills. The second retreat centre lays in an oasis in the Agafy hills in the Marrakech desert. Here you will get a taste of Morocco's wilderness, while enjoying the comfort of beautifully decorated double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, or a spacious loft with multiple double rooms, a shared living room and bathrooms just outside the loft. Each accommodation option has a terrace with lounge chairs and an amazing view. Colorful hammocks hang amongst olive groves to create the perfect spot for you to relax and chill after a refreshing swim in the pool. The vegetarian meals will be served outside, sheltered by traditional nomadic tents (bivouac tents). There is no electricity at the retreat centre, at night the entire centre is lit by oil lamps and candles, creating a magical atmosphere under the dazzling star-filled sky.
